iOS 14: Release date, beta, features, and everything else we know so far

When will iOS 14 be released?

Apple typically reserves its software updates for its Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC), which for the first time ever will be held virtually this year from Monday 22nd June to Friday 26th of June.

In what will be the 31st WWDC, Apple is expected to show off the future version of iOS, as well as updates to iPadOS, MacOS, and WatchOS. It’s also tipped to unveil a new revamped iMac.
Attendees typically have to fork over around $1,600 for a ticket to the event but this year’s will be free for all with the keynote speech due to start on Monday, June 22 at around 6pm GMT.
However, iOS 14 is very unlikely to be released in line with the keynote. Instead, fans can expect the software update to come preloaded on the next generation of iPhones.
The iPhone 12, strongly suggested to be Apple’s first 5G handset, may have its release date pushed back to October due to production delay caused by the pandemic.
